I just got back from hanging out with Leah, John, Cosimo, and Luna in the Redwoods forest in Northern California. We camped very near the coast the first night, and took some sweet hikes along the cliffs and huge rocks along the shore. Then we camped for three nights in the Redwoods, next to this stream. Being among the redwood trees is an amazing experience, that you can't really relay in words and pictures. Their scale is so powerful, I really feel like some expansion of life's possibilities has occurred in finding this forest. It's amazing what you can do if you sit somewhere for a few thousand years and keep working on one thing. I drove the whole Oregon coast back up to Portland, about ten hours along Highway 101, beach stops and the best fried oysters I've had outside of Louisiana made it all worth the time.
